Have you ever wondered how work on a new shoes app looks like? The atmosphere is hot, everyone has lots of concepts, would like to launch the product as soon as possible and show it to the world! The only thing that separate you from a simple idea to the launch are - numbers!

Some of us have entertained themselves by writing a bunch of documents in Word, others were playing with lines of code, and some were madly drinking coffee :)

However, the most important number is 40 - our loyal beta testers who helped us make this dream come true! Thank you for that <3

Seedcamp, here we come!

Four team members. One app. Thirty-one questions. One event.

Today Shoe Addicts team received great news - we are one of the top 19 finalists of Seedcamp Zagreb, leading european startup incubator where selected startups from all over the world gets unique opportunity to present their projects in front of 70 mentors from the region, Europe and world.

Even we still didn’t stand in front of Seedcamp mentors, investors and teams and pitching our project, we are very proud to be selected! That proves that our app has the potential, that people are interested and want to hear more about it - and this is a big thing!

Best part is that Seedcamp’s application form forced us to think even better and deeper about our project and what can we offer to users our future partners. Belive me, this is priceless!

Pride and prejudice about Shoe Addicts team

Greetings to all shoe lovers! <3

Last few months Shoe Addicts team is working hard on the app and now finally is time to introduce ourselves! Since all information about our previous projects and jobs can be seen on LinkedIn, we opted for a slightly different approach :)

How looks a typical day for Shoe Addicts team? Marko Prljic is early risers and the designer who created the visual look of our app and web. You can often see him nibbling candied almonds and listening ambient music while he’s in a creative frenzy. As much as it may sound terrifying, Marko has only two pairs of shoes in his closet, both skate! One that carries throughout the day and the other one that damages while riding. We will not praise him too much, but as soon as someone from the team says that we need a design for blog, business cards, flayers or new app screen, Marko will do it ASAP.

All that Goran requested during the night waits for Marko when he got up around 5 am. You guessed, as every true developer Goran Vuksic works until late in the night and writes hundreds of lines of code so the team could have fresh and better app in the morning! If someone from the team doesn’t understand how a particular feature works, Goran would patiently explain everything or offer new solutions that could solve the problem. And you know what is his greatest phobia? No, it’s not bugs or app crash. It’s power blackout!

After he made a complete functional specification of the app, Pedja Puselja works in consultation with guys to make UI and UX even more better! They are so excited to already have a V2 in the plan and all along are two steps ahead :) But front-end development and coordination of designers and developers are just a break from Pedja’s tables. Of course, we mean on business and marketing plans! All these numbers look a lot nicer when he dreams that one day in retirement he’ll have The Geek Resort in Istria, rooms to rent and donkey that will be called Google.

I am the most tender side of the Shoe addicts team and my name is Anela Sencar. Perhaps you are like me and realized that browsing forums, blogs, Tumblr, fashion portals and shops takes too much time while you looking for shoes and that you would like to have all this information in one place. Yes, that created our app :) While I fill my closet with shoes, I’m working as copywriter, communication and community management. Don’t be surprised if you often see my alaskan malamute in the app - he’s the only thing I find more interesting than shoes!

So, that’s us and we are here for you, our users!
